Don't say goodbye to our town's heritage; Mailbag.


SO the saga of Huddersfield's Castle Hill, our most prestigious site, is going on again.

Another plan submitted for a hotel with accommodation and with a little extra trimming.

The Thandi brothers are determined to get the commercial cream from site which is the pride of Huddersfield Huddersfield, city (1991 pop. 147,825), Kirklees metropolitan district, N central England, on the Colne River. Its textile industry, including cotton, woolen, and rayon goods, is important. Other products are machinery, iron goods, chemicals, and dyed fabrics. .

Kirklees Council leader Clr Mehboob Khan Mehboob Khan (1907 - 28 May 1964) was one of the many pioneers of Indian Cinema.

Khan was born Ramjan Khan in Bilimoria, Gujurat. He ran away from home to work small jobs in the studios of Bombay.
 says that the project must be viable as a business. Has he forgotten that first meeting in the Town Hall which was filled to capacity? It was unanimously agreed by the public that the only prestigious heritage of Huddersfield should not be used for commercial exploitation as that would be saying goodbye to our heritage.

The structure of the hill is not suitable for heavy traffic going to it.
