Don't miss the Shoot-Outs or Mobile Imaging Pavilion.The Digital Imaging Marketing Association invites members to check out its annual DIMA Shoot-Outs. The 9th Annual DIMA Digital Camera Shoot-Out will take place on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Orlando, Fla., during DIMA 2005. Cameras will be divided into two main categories: Point-and-Shoot, and Digital SLR. All PMA 2005 trade attendees will have the chance to view and evaluate the results side by side. A panel of judges will vote on the results on the first day of PMA 2005, with the results announced at a press conference on Monday. Feb. 21, at the DIMA Shoot-Out Booth. The 2nd Annual DIMA Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out will also take place at DIMA 2005, with judging on Friday, Feb. 18, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Kiosk systems will be divided into two main categories: Stand-Alone Output and Remote Output. A panel of judges will vote on the functionality of each system, using a rating system for a list of key criteria, which will be posted at the DIMA Shoot-Out area of the PMA Trade Show floor. The DIMA Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out will be left up and running for the duration of PMA 2005. Also back this year will be the 10th Annual DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out. A panel of judges will vote on the images on Sunday, Feb. 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The 2005 DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out divides printers into seven main categories: RA-4 Digital Printers, Inkjet, Dye Sublimation, Creative Application, Ink, RIP, and Media. Winners will be announced at a press conference on Feb. 21 at the DIMA Shoot-Out Booth. In addition, make sure to check out the Mobile Imaging Pavilion on the PMA 2005 Trade Show floor. Topic discussions will be held throughout the entire PMA 2005 Show, highlighting the newest in mobile imaging technology and the biggest issues in the wireless industry. PMA will also host a press conference on Sunday, Feb. 20, in the Mobile Imaging Pavilion, where pavilion exhibitors will be making announcements on new products and initiatives. |
