Don't mention, ER, porcine animals.

SIR: Further to Peter Ryan's article (October 2005) on Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh and associates, a recent piece of news actually eclipses in sinister imbecility Mr Ryan's anecdote of the 1950s leftist who discovered that Christopher Robin was definitely counterrevolutionary.

The English borough of Dudley, population 300,000, and with a Conservative majority on the council, has prohibited its employees from displaying pictures or other representations of Piglet (or any other porcine bibelots) in their offices in case Muslims are offended.
