Don't make transfer trouble.

Disengage the transfer like this:

1. Remove the two bolts holding the transfer cover in place. Take off the cover.

3. Slip the extension into place in the transfer compartment.

4. Turn the wrench nine turns clockwise until it stops.

Before you start towing, double-cheek to make sure the transfer is disengaged. Shift the engine to neutral and tow forward very slowly. If you can feel the vehicle dragging, the transfer is not completely disengaged.
