A quick reminder about getting your ballot in for Tuesday's election on Measure 28: If you haven't put it in the mail already, don't.

Elections official Roxann Marshall said Thursday that ballots that have not been mailed yet may not make it to the elections office by the Jan. 28 deadline. Those who still need to vote will have to deliver their ballots to one of 19 designated drop locations - mostly free-standing free-standing Managed care adjective Referring to a physically and, often, financially discrete entity–eg, a surgical center, that is separate from, but may be affiliated with, a hospital; FS facilities may provide ambulatory surgery, emergency or  white ballot boxes but also some containers placed in city offices or libraries - in order to participate in this special election.

Fortunately, many people already have gotten their ballots in to the county, Marshall said.

"With five days left before the election, we've already gotten ballots back from 41 percent of registered voters," Marshall said. "That's very good for a special election."

So far, the biggest day for ballot returns fell on Jan. 16, with a whopping 16,543 returns. Of those, 11,021 appeared in the mail, with 5,326 delivered to drop boxes and 161 hand-delivered to the county elections office.

Of course, Marshall expects "a strong influx" of last-minute voting on Monday and Tuesday.

To deliver ballots from now on, use one of these locations; drop boxes will be available 24 hours a day unless otherwise indicated:
