There's already Oasis reunion talk, which is a bit depressing.

Pretty much from the moment he plugs in his guitar again, Noel will be faced with the kind of tedious question his old nemesis RobbieWilliams gets every interview: "When are you rejoining your old band?" He deserves better.

Imagine what kind of album Noel could make with someone like Morrissey, Jack White of the White Stripes, Ryan Adams or even Ian Brown (as long as the recording studio had autotune.)

He could make uneasy friends with Our Kid, but a new Oasis record hasn't inspired the masses since 1995 - would it now? As for Beatles obsessive Liam, all is not lost. That next series of Thomas The Tank Engine isn't going to narrate itself.
