Domtar Communication Papers Division wins LES NouVEAUX PERFORMANTS*MC AWARD.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 1995--Domtar Inc. is proud to announce that Georges Kobrynsky, Vice-President and General Manager of its Communication Papers Division at Windsor, was awarded today the title of 1995 GRAND MANAGER by the prestigious achievement recognition program LES NOUVEAUX PERFORMANTS*MC.

Georges Kobrynsky immediately shared his award with all his colleagues, stating: "This award is above all a tribute to great team work as, since the very start, my performance has always reflected the efforts of the employees under my supervision."

Windsor has had its share of challenges to meet over the past ten years, "The new complex was built in 1985 at a cost of $1.2 billion," explains Mr. Kobrynsky. Then, we were in the grips of a major recession which seriously affected the pulp and paper industry. We also had to face ferocious competition from the United States, rapidly followed by Brazil, Malaysia and many others".

This year marks the 10th edition of the LES NOUVEAUX PERFORMANTS*MC program, an achievement recognition organization managed by the PERFORM firm under the honorary chairmanship of the National Bank of Canada and Bell Canada.

In addition to Georges Kobrynsky, Vice-president and General Manager, Domtar Communication Papers Division, Louis R. Chenevert, of Pratt & Whitney Canada, and Yves Milord, of Metro- Richelieu Inc., were also proclaimed 1995 GRAND MANAGERS Marc Beauchamp, of Novacap Investments, and Suzanne Leclair, of Fourgons Transit Inc., won the two prizes in the 1995 GRAND ENTREPRENEURS category.
