: D) has named Anthony E. Manning vice president of human resources, effective July 1.

Manning was vice president for university relations at Virginia Union University History
By late 1865, the American Civil War was over (which ended slavery in the former Confederate states) and slavery in the United States had officially ended in the Northern and border states as well with the adoption of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
 from 1994 to the present. He joined VUU VUU Virginia Union University  in 1989 as director of corporate relations. From 1990 to 1994 he served as vice president of development. Before joining the university, Manning served as a colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps and held various logistics management and administrative positions.

Manning, 61, is a native of Richmond. He received a bachelor's degree in biology from Virginia Union University in 1961 and a master's degree in education from the University of Southern California The U.S. News & World Report ranked USC 27th among all universities in the United States in its 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges", also designating it as one of the "most selective universities" for admitting 8,634 of the almost 34,000 who applied for freshman admission  in 1974.

Dominion, headquartered in Richmond, is the nation's largest fully integrated natural gas and electric power company.
