Dominion Homes Reports Record Second Quarter Home Sales, Closings and Backlog.

DUBLIN, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 11, 2001

Dominion Homes, Inc. (Nasdaq:DHOM) reported that the number of homes sold during the three months ended June 30, 2001 increased 40% to a second quarter record 589 homes versus 420 homes for the same period a year ago. The sales value of the homes sold in second quarter 2001 increased 43% to $109.6 million compared to $76.9 million in 2000. The Company closed 466 homes during second quarter 2001 versus 443 homes closed during second quarter 2000, a 5% increase.

The Company had a record backlog of 1,259 contracts, with a sales value of $242.7 million, at June 30, 2001 compared to 1,016 contracts, with a sales value of $192.2 million, in backlog at June 30, 2000. This represents a 24% increase in the number of homes in backlog and a 26% increase in the sales value of homes in backlog.

Second quarter 2001 financial results will be announced during the third week in July.
