Dominion East Ohio Offers Customers Energy Calculator, Manage Your Account Services at www.dom.com.

CLEVELAND, Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Dominion East Ohio customers looking for ways to increase energy efficiency in their homes and businesses have a handy new tool at their disposal. Customers can use a new Energy Calculator, available on the company's website, http://www.dom.com/, to compute their natural gas consumption and general costs for operating electric appliances.

Dominion has designed its Energy Calculator to help customers determine how much energy they are using and explore ways to save energy and money. The energy calculator allows customers to create a profile of their current household energy use, calculate the energy used by various household appliances and discover ways to make better energy decisions by reducing consumption and improving energy efficiency.

Customers simply can enter some basic information about the size and age of their home, type of heating and cooling system and kinds of appliances. The calculator is programmed with Dominion East Ohio's current natural gas rates and adjusts by ZIP code for regional weather patterns. Electric costs are based on national average electric rates. It includes an energy-smart library, with detailed information about topics including weatherization, heating, cooling, lighting, water heating and food storage.

To use the energy-savings calculator, go to http://www.dom.com/, keyword "energy calculator."

"This user-friendly tool allows customers to identify areas in their homes or businesses where they can make energy-efficient improvements," said Bruce C. Klink, Dominion East Ohio president. "The energy calculators help customers understand their specific energy use so they can compare and analyze their bills and find ways to save energy and money."

Online Service Helps Customers Track Dominion East Ohio Accounts

The company also encourages residential and small commercial customers to take advantage of a free service that lets customers manage their natural gas account online.

Manage Your Account (MYA) gives customers access to current and past billing, payment and usage history, energy use comparisons, and copies of bills, to name a few features. Customers can even enter meter readings and update their account information. Since MYA began more than three years ago, more than 200,000 of the company's 1.2 million customers already have registered for the free service.

Customers also can MYA to view, change or cancel any previously scheduled turn on, turn off or transfer service requests, once the initial service order has been made, with a Dominion customer service agent.

MYA registration and online access is available at http://www.dom.com/ . To register, customers will need their Dominion account number, ZIP code and a personal PIN number -- usually the last four digits of the account holder's social security number or federal tax-ID number.

Once customers register for MYA, they also can take advantage of electronic billing, also referred to as eBill, and automatic Bank Draft.
