") announced today that it has received approval by BNY BNY Bank of New York  Financial Corporation, a wholly- owned subsidiary of The Bank of New York The Bank of New York, abbrieviated to BNY, was a global financial services company that existed until its merger with the Mellon Financial Corporation on July 2, 2007.[1] The bank now continues under the new name of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. , for a credit facility of up to US $40 million. The asset based facility will have a first drawdown of US $25 million subject only to completion of documentation. The balance of US $15 million will be made available subsequently and pursuant to BNY Financial Corporation completing the syndication of the loan.

Proceeds from the aggregate facility will be used to retire the current US $15 million Bankers Trust loan and to provide additional working capital for DBC's fast growing North American operations.

Dominion Bridge was established in 1879. The company is active in the international engineering and infrastructure markets. It manages projects and operates facilities in North and South America, Europe and the Asia Pacific. The company, together with its subsidiaries, employs more than 6,500 people, with this year's anticipated revenues of over US $600 million. Consolidated backlog is approximately US $600 million.

Dominion Bridge Corporation's subsidiaries are Dominion Bridge, Inc., Steen Becker, Inc. and Davie Industries.
