Dominican Republic-U.S. Business Council Initiates Activities.

The Dominican Republic-U.S. Business Council announces its inaugural visit to Washington, D.C., the week of May 19. The Council, comprising leaders of the Dominican Republic Dominican Republic (dəmĭn`ĭkən), republic (2005 est. pop. 8,950,000), 18,700 sq mi (48,442 sq km), West Indies, on the eastern two thirds of the island of Hispaniola. The Council's initial visit to Washington coincides with the high-level working meeting between President Bush and President Mejia and their cabinets. Former United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Charles T.
