), announced today that See Weng Chan has joined the company as Vice President for its China region. Chan brings more than 24 years of international management experience to the organization.

In his new role, Chan is responsible for leading and executing the company's strategy in the China region including marketing, sales, and business development. He will oversee the company's facilities in Shanghai and Beijing, establish and maintain contacts with the government and its agencies, and provide leadership for territorial growth throughout the region.

Before joining Dolby, Chan served as Beijing-based Vice President for Axalto Smart Card Technology, a spin-off of SchlumbergerSema Technologies. Prior to Axalto, Chan worked for more than 10 years at SchlumbergerSema, culminating his business development career as Vice President of China JVs and Terminals. Before SchlumbergerSema, Chan spent 12 years with Schlumberger Technologies in South America South America, fourth largest continent (1991 est. pop. 299,150,000), c.6,880,000 sq mi (17,819,000 sq km), the southern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. , France, China, Brunei, and Malaysia.
