WHERE? Colorado Chiropractic chiropractic (kīrəprăk`tĭk) [Gr.,=doing by hand], medical practice based on the theory that all disease results from a disruption of the functions of the nerves.  Association, Denver

WHEN? Since 1998

Q: How did your initial interest in volunteering come about?

A: After graduating from Metropolitan State College in Denver, I took my first job at a local community college, helping divorced and widowed women to find employment. Funded by grants, we never, had enough program money. Most of us volunteered time way our paid positions, because, we really believed in what we were doing.

Q: Why did you accept the top leadership role at the Colorado Society of Association Executives (CSAE CSAE Canadian Society of Association Executives
CSAE Centre for the Study of African Economies
CSAE Committee for the Study of the American Electorate
CSAE Canadian Society of Agricultural Engineering
)?

A: Like many people, I want to give something back to a profession that has been good to me. As chief staff officers, we constantly ask and others to give time and energy, so it's important to act as a role model. If I think I'm the right person to accomplish something important, then that's what I want to be doing.

Q: What is it about doing good that gives you the most reward?

A: Last month's CSAE holidays luncheon is a good example. Our members brought holiday gifts that Samaritan House distributed to homeless families. Working together to deliver some holiday cheer is the type of heartfelt heart·felt
