Dogpile Search Site Acquires Thunderstone Technology.
Pile, Inc., the operator of the popular Dogpile web site (http://www.dogpile.com/) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Thunderstone Software, LLC to form Dogpile, LLC, which will operate and expand Dogpile's web site offerings.
With the deal, Dogpile, LLC receives Pile, Inc.'s web properties and traffic history that has placed it in lists of the most visited web sites in the world as well as Thunderstone's technology that powers many of the largest sites on the Internet.
"The addition of Thunderstone technology will facilitate the creation of new web tools designed to enhance our users' productivity and provide the means for our continued rapid growth," said Aaron Flin, President and CEO of Dogpile, LLC.
