Dog turns on owner.


At about 9:20 p.m. on July 26, a Rottweiler Rottweiler (rŏt`wīlər), breed of sturdy working dog developed from a Roman cattle dog introduced into S Germany more than 1,900 years ago. It stands from 21 3-4 to 27 in. (55.3–68.  belonging to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma “OKC” redirects here. For the airport, see Will Rogers World Airport.

Oklahoma City is the capital of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The county seat of Oklahoma County, the city is the 30th largest city in the U.S.

Another neighbor, Michael Bigler, was outside in his wheelchair when he realized what was happening. Quickly wheeling himself into his house, he emerged with a handgun and fatally shot the dog.

Cox was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his leg wounds. The Oklahoman newspaper reported the next day that police "don't expect any criminal charges against Bigler" since, in the words of a department spokesman, he was "trying to protect people."
