Doescher-Mims. (2003 Wedding Register).


Whitney Leigh Doescher and John Wesley Mims were united in marriage at six o'clock in the evening in the gardens of Panama Country Club. Rev. Albert Rowell officiated at the celebration and blessing of the marriage.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Doescher of Panama City, Florida Panama City is a city located along U.S. Highway 98 in Bay County, Florida. It is the largest city between Pensacola, Florida and Tallahassee, Florida. It is the larger (population wise) of two principal cities of the Panama City-Lynn Haven, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. . The groom is the son of Mrs. Velma Mims of Panama City, Florida.

Best man was Joshua Brannon of Lynn Haven, Florida. Groomsmen were Ross Humphreys of Atlanta, Georgia, and David Jernigan, Brian Grant, and Shawn Williams, all of Panama City, Florida.

The wedding reception was held in the ballroom of Panama Country Club overlooking beautiful North Bay. The guests enjoyed dining, dancing, and a magnificent sunset. The reception ended in a cloud of bubbles as the couple departed for a honeymoon cruise in the Eastern Caribbean.

Pre-wedding activities included a bridal luncheon hosted by Mrs. Carolyn Doescher West at Uncle Ernie's Bayfront Restaurant and a golf tournament hosted by the groom at Bay Point Yacht and Country Club's Lagoon Legends golf course. Mrs. Ann Logue was the wedding director.
