Does Bush even know that blacks can vote?


During a meeting between the Congressional Black Caucus Congressional Black Caucus, organization of African-American members of the U.S. House of Representatives.  Jr. asked if they could count on his support to extend the Voting Rights Act Voting Rights Act

Act passed by the U.S. Congress in 1965 to ensure the voting rights of African Americans. Though the Constitution's 15th Amendment (passed 1870) had guaranteed the right to vote regardless of “race, color, or previous condition of servitude,”
 of 1965--a centerpiece of civil rights legislation--when it comes up for renewal in 2007. Bush said he wasn't familiar with the legislation but would carefully consider it when it comes across his desk.
