Doe Fund to honor supporters at annual gala event.


The Doe Fund, one of New York's most respected and successful homeless service organizations, will honor Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the City of New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
, as well as Doe Fund Board Chairman Michael J. Gantcher, at its 11th annual "What New York Needs" Gala benefit.

The benefit will be held October 27 at The Pierre hotel on Fifth Avenue and 61st Street.

The guests of honor are being feted for their long support of The Doe Fund, which provides formerly homeless people with paid work opportunities, job training, drug-free housing and other support services so that they may become self-sufficient.
