Colletti graduated from East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois and Northern Illinois University. Colletti began his Major League Career in 1982 with the Chicago Cubs. as the team's new general manager. Colletti, who signed to a four-year contract, becomes the 10th general manager in Dodger history.
