Documentum integrates Adobe Acrobat software into its enterprise document management system for fast and efficient electronic document communication.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 1995--Adobe Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) announced today that Documentum Inc. has integrated Adobe Acrobat software into the Documentum Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS), a software system designed to manage, process and deliver business-critical electronic documents. Documentum is an authorized Acrobat Information Integrator.

The Documentum EDMS is a family of open, client/server software products designed to handle the collaborative management of information and processes within a company. Adobe Acrobat technology is an integrated component of Documentum Workspace, the system's graphical user environment. Each copy of Documentum Workspace includes an Acrobat Reader, a document viewer that provides universal access to a document, independent of the application program that created it. Acrobat Exchange is also available, and provides an annotations interface that allows users to view, create and store "sticky note" annotations. A key feature of Acrobat Exchange lets users search a document for a particular term and highlight the term each time it's found.
