Doctors refuse to apologize.

Edmonton - Dr. Grant Hill, an MP (McLeod, AB) and a physician, stated some obvious facts during the debate on Bill C-33, the homo-rights bill of May 1996: that the so-called gay lifestyle is very dangerous to health, and that the bill would encourage this lifestyle.

Not only did homosexuals and their media supporters attack and ridicule him for his statements, but so did the Canadian Medical Association The Canadian Medical Association (CMA), with more than 65,000 members, is the largest association of doctors in Canada and works to represent their interests nationally. It formed in 1867, three months after Confederation. :

"We are concerned that remarks made by Reform MP Dr. Grant Hill erroneously suggest that homosexuality is an unhealthy lifestyle unhealthy lifestyle Public health A dissipated personal modus operandum, which may be characterized by one or more of the following: substance abuse–eg, alcohol, drug and/or tobacco use, debauchery, sexual promiscuity and/or teenage pregnancy, poor sleep . In our view there is no scientific evidence to back such a claim."

After this whitewash whitewash, white fluid commonly used as an inexpensive, impermanent coating for walls, fences, stables, and other exterior structures. It varies in composition, being generally a mixture of lime (quicklime), water, flour, salt, glue, and whiting, with other  of "gay" conduct, a complaint against Dr. Hill was lodged with the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons College of Physicians and Surgeons: see Columbia Univ. .

A formal inquiry launched by this body found Dr. Hill's assertion to be backed by overwhelming evidence. (See also our article "Health and homosexual activity" by Dr. John Shea, M.D., CI, September 1996, pp12-13). But the College refused to make a public statement to that effect; if it did so, it would be in violation of the new law against which Dr. Hill protested. The College, ironically, was prevented from speaking out on a vital health issue by a federal statute. So the doctor approached the CMA CMA - Concert Multithread Architecture from DEC. , which had libelled him. But the CMA would not apologize either; it said it considered the matter closed.

If the CMA is wrong and the Alberta College is right, the gay lifestyle will claim the lives of many Canadians. The CMA has lied to us all. But apparently it prefers to forget its responsibility rather than face up to a possible attack under the Canadian Human Rights Act The Canadian Human Rights Act is a statute originally passed by the Government of Canada in 1977 with the express goal of extending the law to ensure equal opportunity to individuals who may be victims of discriminatory practices based on a set prohibited grounds such as gender, .

Similarly, noted Ted Byfield Edward Bartlett "Ted" Byfield (born 1929) is an Alberta conservative journalist, publisher and editor. He founded the Alberta Report and Western Report newsmagazines.

Born in Toronto, Byfield moved with his parents to Washington, D.C. at the age of 17.
in the Western Report of March 3, another courageous doctor, Dr. Gisela MacPhail of Calgary, prepared a report on the city's public school sex education course. She found that this course concentrates on normalizing homosexual activity, while minimizing its risks. She, too, was put on trial.

What matters to the school board as to the CMA, Byfield comments, are human "rights"; but human "lives" are inconsequential. Moreover, in human rights cases, truth appears to be no defence at all.
