Doctor, doctor. (reader forum). What a pleasure to see The Advocate interviewing the amazingly talented Laura Innes Laura Elizabeth Innes (b. August 16 1959, Pontiac, Michigan) is an American actress and director. Laura Innes was introduced to professional theater by her father, who frequently took the family to the Stratford Festival of Canada in Stratford, Ontario. ["ER's Leading Lesbian," December 25]. Witnessing TV's most complex character embracing her lesbianism lesbianism: see homosexuality. lesbianism also called sapphism or female homosexuality, the quality or state of intense emotional and usually erotic attraction of a woman to another woman. is not only dramatically mesmerizing mes·mer·ize tr.v. mes·mer·ized, mes·mer·iz·ing, mes·mer·iz·es 1. To spellbind; enthrall: "He could mesmerize an audience by the sheer force of his presence" , it's a significant step in the right cultural direction. I have only one quibble QUIBBLE. No justly eminent member of the bar will resort to a quibble in his argument. with the article's author, and that is with respect to Innes's appeal. The number of paeans on various Web sites to Innes are at least equal to those for her former costar Elizabeth Mitchell
Elizabeth Mitchell (born on March 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress who is currently known for her role as Dr. . Take another look at the picture accompanying your article: Laura Innes is completely hot. Xander Mennie, Edmonton, Canada I'm glad you interviewed Innes, but I wonder why it comes fully one year after ER introduced Dr. Weaver's love interest. If I weren't accustomed to The Advocate's predominant focus on gay men and their interests and accomplishments (and straight men who play gay men and straight women who entertain gay men), I would have been surprised that the magazine was ignoring this chapter in TV history and its importance to lesbians and bisexual women. I suspect if Noah Wyle, Goran Visnjic, or any other member of ER's male supporting cast were struggling with coming out after falling in love with a gorgeous male psychiatrist on staff, The Advocate would have done a cover story months ago.
