Mandelkern raised more than $28,000 for the fight against leukemia and other blood-related cancers. Mandelkern has been a long-time participant in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Team in Training" program, which raises money through participation in endurance athletic events such as triathlons, marathons and century bicycle rides.
