and Worker Accountability, Simplifies Procurement of

Docent Products Through GSA Schedule

Docent Inc.(NASDAQ:DCNT) the leading provider of integrated software solutions proven to directly drive business performance through learning, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Washington DC-based Innovative Technology Application, Inc. (ITA), to extend its solutions to the federal government. Through this relationship, Docent products, services and content will be available on the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule contract. The GSA contract enables U.S. government agencies to purchase Docent solutions under favorable, pre-negotiated prices, terms and conditions.

ITA was fourth on the Deloitte and Touche "Fast 500" national list in 2002, marking the company's third successive appearance. ITA specializes in the development of award-winning custom-built training content for both the Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies. The company provides innovative training programs in counter-terrorism, crisis management and a multitude of other training applications. The Docent - ITA, Inc. solution provides a complete framework for government agencies to deliver training content to their workers, and then help those agencies track training, analyze results, and reward employees based on the merit of their work. Together, ITA and Docent are able to provide the one-stop solution for government agencies without the time and expense of contracting with multiple vendors.

"The government is a booming market for e-learning solutions," said Dr. Brandon Hall, Ph.D., and CEO of industry research firm brandon-hall.com. "The overall federal government e-learning market is forecast to grow from $600 million in 2002 to $2.7 billion in 2006. Internal mandates will accelerate the adoption of solutions that help government agencies not only train and track, but also analyze the return on investment for training dollars. The vendor who provides such a solution is well positioned to take a significant share of this vital market."

"Docent is changing the rules of the game for government e-learning," said R. Andrew Eckert, president and CEO, Docent. "Partnering with ITA gives us a valuable, unique solution. More than just providing a learning management system, we are offering ITA's content along with Docent's product suite, giving federal agencies overall business performance management. We are delighted to work with ITA and leverage their long experience with the federal government."

"ITA's agreement with Docent provides the government with a powerful solution for better training and greater individual worker accountability," said Donald C. Brewster, Jr. Founder, Chairman and COO of ITA, Inc. "Together, it's an end-to-end package which is exactly what customers in government need to accomplish their agency missions."

The modules of the Docent Enterprise(TM) suite will that be added to the GSA schedule include the Docent Learning Management Server, Docent Learning Content Management System, Docent Exchange, Docent Live!, and Docent Analytics. As part of Docent's continued leadership in learning industry standards, Docent Enterprise is compliant with AICC and SCORM, as well as Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
