 to provide primary school children with a customized eLearning service. Docent is providing the eLearning Internet software platform for the revolutionary eLearning center set up by KPN at the De Rietakker primary school in Utrecht, the Netherlands. This is a landmark event for Docent, which is taking its eLearning technology beyond the traditional business arena and into primary schools for the first time.

KPN is the leading sponsor of this project, which is expected to benefit millions of children across the Netherlands. In the pilot phase, it will equip the De Rietakker school with an entire eLearning infrastructure including hardware, software, network Internet connection and learning content from leading Dutch educational publishers. As part of the project, the pupils will use the Docent platform to participate in Web-based courses and plan their classes and schedules online.
