Doc sets up Hurricane Contracting Info Center.

Washington, town (1991 pop. 48,856), Sunderland metropolitan district, NE England. Washington was designated one of the new towns in 1964 to alleviate overpopulation in the Tyneside-Wearside area.
 -- The U.S. Commerce Department has established the Hurricane Contracting Information Center to assist U.S. businesses, particularly small firms and those owned by minorities and women, to participate in the Gulf Coast rebuilding efforts.
