Doane Agricultural Services continues to offer corn producers a chance to watch the 2002 corn crop develop with observations by Doane analysts and independent crop consultants from across the Corn Belt Corn Belt, major agricultural region of the U.S. Midwest where corn acreage once exceeded that of any other crop. It is now commonly called the Feed Grains and Livestock Belt. Located in the north central plains, it is centered in Iowa and Illinois and extends into S Minnesota, SE South Dakota, E Nebraska, NE Kansas, N Missouri, Indiana, and W Ohio.. The Web site, www.corntrak.com, will scout fields representing 89 percent of the planted acres and 93 percent of the total corn production. Doane's corntrak.com will be active in 15 states including: Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin.
