DoCoMo to Release mova RADIDEN Handset Capable of Receiving AM, FM and TV Broadcast.


Tokyo, Japan, Sept 26, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - NTT DoCoMo (NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc., Japan) Founded in 1991, NTT DoCoMo is a spinoff of Japan's NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) which provides wireless services, including cellular, paging, satellite and maritime and in-flight telephone services.  today announced release of the mova RADIDEN, the world's first mobile handset that has been equipped with a tuner for AM/FM/TV broadcast.

Adopting a dual-front design, where phone functions are deployed on one side of the handset and radio features are laid out on the other side, RADIDEN pursues ease-of-use with its new features including a radio-side LCD.

The new handset also features the improved brightness of the main display, while the phone and radio buttons A series of on-screen buttons that allow only one selection to be made from the group. If a button is currently selected, it will de-select when any other button is selected. Radio buttons come from the early days of radio, which had five or six preset station buttons in a row.  are colored white and amber, respectively, for easier use.

Users can also access the i-mode mobile Internet service, while simultaneously listening to the radio.

The handset measures 117x49x20mm, and weighs 122g. Sales begin On October 1.
