To propose by name as a candidate, especially for election. 2. To designate or appoint to an office, responsibility, or honor. by anyone--co-workers, clients, or even themselves. The deadline for next year's award nominations is Jan. 15, 2003. We only request that nominees meet the following criteria: Their business must be independently operated; at least 5 years old; 51% black-owned; generate annual revenues of at least $250,000 (but no more than $15 million); show a pattern of increasing revenues for the two years preceding the application; and have a minimum of three employees. The only exception to this criteria is for nominees of the BE Kidpreneurs[TM] Award, which is given to entrepreneurs 18 years of age or younger. As always, the cornerstone cornerstone Ceremonial building block, dated or otherwise inscribed, usually placed in an outer wall of a building to commemorate its dedication. Often the stone is hollowed out to contain newspapers, photographs, or other documents reflecting current customs, with a view to of our Black Enterprise/Microsoft Entrepreneurs Conference will be our recognition of today's leading African American small business owners. We recognize these entrepreneurs in four categories: BE Emerging Company of the Year, BE Business Innovator of the Year, BE Rising Star Award, and BE Kidpreneurs Award.
