 say K-12 schools need to improve math and science education in the U.S. As it turns out, however, parents and students disagree. At least that's what Public Agenda discovered when it recently surveyed parents and high-school students in its Reality Check 2006: Are American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of  Parents and Students Ready for More Math and Science?
