1 HARVEST some hardwoods. You can begin to propagate a lot of different shrubs in your garden now from hardwood cuttings. You do not need a heated glasshouse or fancy propagator, just a small piece of garden with well-drained soil in a sheltered corner. Plants to try include roses, Cornus alba Cornus alba, the Siberian or Red-Barked Dogwood is a large shrub or small tree. It is from the family, Cornaceae. It is a popular ornamental used in landscaping.
