Its former NASDAQ NASDAQ in full National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations U.S. market for over-the-counter securities. For thirty years Dixie National was in the insurance business in Jackson, Mississippi, mainly serving area policyholders. In October 1995 the insurance business was sold, and the headquarters relocated to South Carolina. According to S.L. Reed, Jr., Chairman, "Our Board of Directors felt the time was appropriate for a name and identification change because we are totally reshaping the company. Moving from a regional insurance business, our focus has shifted to faster-growing areas of applied technology with nationwide markets.
