OAK RIDGE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2004

Diversified Product Inspections, Inc. (OTCBB:DPRI), a provider of independent product failure analysis, air contamination and fire investigations for the insurance industry announced today, that the company will exercise its option to purchase 4.55 acres of land in the City of Oak Ridge's industrial park and build a new office, laboratory and storage facility.

John VanZyll, president and CEO said, "A year ago, DPI signed an option agreement with the City of Oak Ridge to purchase 4.55 acres in the City's industrial park for $106,000. DPI plans to exercise that option during the first quarter of 2004 in order to proceed with requesting bids and finalizing financing to construct a new 30,000 foot facility. Depending on the final construction cost and financing terms, DPI estimates that by constructing this new facility it can terminate its current office lease, purchase the new building and save $5,000 to $10,000 per month in payments. This plan will also put an asset on our books and DPI can build equity."
