This contract was signed with a German/Swiss consortium, giving the rights to the manufacturing and distribution of DIA's oil absorption products. These rights encompass the member countries of the European Community European Community: see European Union. European Community (EC) Organization formed in 1967 with the merger of the European Economic Community, European Coal and Steel Community, and European Atomic Energy Community. . DIA will receive a total payment of $2.8 Million cash with a royalty of 6 percent on all product sold. This will decline to 4 percent after the first $5 Million and includes a designated minimum. DIA will also become a 10 percent equity owner in the company holding the license agreement. DIA will in addition receive 50 percent of all fixed fees in excess of $2.8 Million from any subsequent sub-license agreements. The company expects that the cash flow generated from the royalties will far exceed the initial payments made under this agreement.
