Diversified Industries Ltd.: DVS 6000 Direct Injection Field Trials Continue to Produce Positive Results.Business Editors VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2004 Diversified Industries Ltd. (TSX TSX Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE before April, 2002) TSX Transfer from Stack Pointer to Index TSX True Space Extension Venture: DVS DVS Det Vill Säga (Swedish) DVS Descriptive Video Service DVS Dynamic Voltage Scaling DVS Driver and Vehicle Services (Minnesota) DVS Digital Video System DVS Digital Video Services ) ("Diversified" or the "Company") is pleased to announce its successful preliminary results from field trials of direct injection of DVS 6000 hydrogen sulphide ("H2S H2S Hydrogen Sulfide H2S How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Also abbreviated H2$) H2S Heart to Soul (song) ") scavenger at the wellhead well·head n. 1. The source of a well or stream. 2. A principal source; a fountainhead. 3. The structure built over a well. wellhead Noun 1. into a natural gas stream in Central Alberta. The Company's first application of direct injection using DVS 6000 as a polishing agent has been running for approximately eleven months at a sour gas plant in Southern Saskatchewan (as announced February 26, 2004). Now, in our second direct injection field trial, we are seeing very positive results in Central Alberta as we inject DVS 6000 to neutralize H2S right at the wellhead. During this second field trial, direct injection of DVS 6000 at the wellhead into the natural gas stream resulted in the H2S content of the gas being reduced to zero (0) parts per million parts per million mg/kg or ml/l; see ppm. ("ppm") for a continuous 48 hour period. The natural gas well is flowing at approximately 250,000 to 300,000 cubic feet per day, with an H2S content of approximately 120 ppm in the gas stream. The DVS 6000 has successfully neutralized all H2S, yielding excellent preliminary results. The Company has been approached by several oil and gas companies to start trials for direct injection of DVS 6000 at the wellhead - which could eliminate the expense of using sweetening towers on some of their sites. Diversified will gather further data through direct injection trials continuing in Central Alberta, and will release further results as they are received. DVS 6000 is a superior H2S scavenger without the negative qualities of typical H2S scavengers like ammonia, caustic soda caustic soda: see sodium hydroxide. caustic soda Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), an inorganic compound. The alkalies called caustic soda and caustic potash (potassium hydroxide) are very important industrial chemicals, with uses in the manufacture of or formaldehyde-based scavengers. It is non-flammable, non-corrosive, and is not regulated under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act of Canada. In addition, it has a freeze point below minus 45 degrees Celsius, has a non-toxic zinc sulphide by-product and has a mild odour. We believe DVS 6000 is the safest and easiest to use H2S scavenger in the world.
