Diversified's DVS 6000 Successful in U.S. Field Trial.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Diversified Industries Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DVS) is pleased to announce that Dorf Ketal Chemicals, LLC, of Houston, Texas, has obtained successful results in both lab tests and a recent field trial using Diversified's DVS 6000 hydrogen sulphide (H2S) scavenger.

Over the past 18 months, Dorf Ketal conducted lab tests to determine the efficacy of DVS 6000 in removing H2S and mercaptans  from various hydrocarbon liquids. Their testing proved positive, resulting in the successful removal of H2S and light-end mercaptans from various hydrocarbon mixtures.

Most recently, in a field trial conducted by a Dorf Ketal client, DVS 6000 effectively eliminated the odours associated with light-end mercaptans contaminating 6000 US gallons of a gasoline/diesel fuel mixture.

The Dorf Ketal client poured 5 US gallons of DVS 6000 into a tanker truck then added 6000 US gallons of a gasoline/diesel fuel mixture contaminated with light-end methyl and ethyl mercaptans. The tanker truck embarked on a five-hour trip to its destination point with the gasoline/diesel mixture and DVS 6000 agitating with the movement of the truck. Upon arrival in Houston, Texas, the mercaptan odours were completely eliminated. The process of separating the gasoline and diesel fuel proceeded, resulting in products with value compared to the contaminated product initially loaded into the tanker.

The client expects to secure a contract based on this tanker trial, resulting in future sales of DVS 6000 in the United States.

Similar situations exist world wide with tankers, fuel barges, ocean tankers, and storage facilities.
