Ditch witch JT922.
The JT922 horizontal directional drill features a heavy-duty anchor
system, open-top vise wrenches and an integrated remote display. The
manufacturer says it offers the highest power-to-size ratio in the
9,000-lb (40 kN) pullback category, with a carriage speed of 188 feet
per minute and pipe capacity of 300 feet. Its rack and pinion thrust
drive has a double rack that is welded to distribute the load equally.
The operator's station is midway down the drill frame at a
90-degree angle to the rack, making it easier to handle the pipe.
Routine maintenance points are on one side of the machine. The seat
slides fore and aft, for getting closer to the pipe rack. The JT922 is
easy to set up and operate in tight spaces, and its size makes it easy
to transport. The Charles Machine Works, Inc., PO Box 66, Perry, OK
