District three (Las Vegas area) is back!

Our first meeting was held in November November: see month.  at the home of Sue & Rosemary rosemary [ultimately from Lat.,=dew of the sea], widely cultivated evergreen and shrubby perennial (Rosmarinus officinalis) of the family Labiatae (mint family), fairly hardy and native to the Mediterranean region. It has small light-blue flowers.  Witt Witt   , Katerina Born 1965.

. There was a great turn out, so I know that everyone is enthusiastic after four years of a non-active district.

What happened to District Three?

I can't give you an answer to that question, but I think that everyone just got busy with other organizations. Currently, we have active chapters of the Black Nurses Association, Hispanic Hispanic Multiculture A person of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central or South American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race Social medicine Any of 17 major Latino subcultures, concentrated in California, Texas, Chicago, Miam, NY, and elsewhere  Nurses Association and the Philippine Nurses Association. In addition, there are special interest groups, like the advanced practice special interest group, the Psychiatric psy·chi·at·ric

of Nurse-Midwives. Some of you are also involved in community organizations, church, book groups and of course our families. There are also dues and membership costs to consider.

Last summer, there was a call to action for additional membership. Members join at the state level or the national level. Many of you answered our call. This made such a difference in our abilities to keep your organization afloat. Many of you turned out for the convention last September. So many that we actually had to turn people away.

Again, I am asking for your assistance in keeping the momentum that you generated last fall. Those that are not members, please consider joining. Those that are members, please continue to renew your membership. Just because you receive the RN Information does not mean that you are a member of NNA NNA National Notary Association (Chatsworth, California)
NNA National Newspaper Association
NNA Nissan North America Inc.
NNA National News Agency (Lebanon)
NNA Nebraska Nurses Association
. This newsletter is sent to all nurses in the state of Nevada.

The board officers for District Three were temporarily elected. This was done to get the district operating. We would like to have officers elected by district membership. If you are interested in an office or working on the nominating committee A nominating committee is a group formed usually from inside the membership of an organization for the purpose of nominating candidates for office within the organization. It works similarly to an electoral college, the main difference being that the available candidates, either , please do not hesitate to call me or any other officer of NNA.

We are planning monthly board meetings and quarterly general membership meetings. All meetings are open. Board meetings may be attended by any member. The quarterly meetings will have short business reports with time for membership questions and answers. The general membership meetings will be more social in nature for discussions on current nursing issues and networking.

My vision is that NNA would be a lead organization that other nursing organizations would turn to for legislative assistance, co-coordinating community events, promoting nursing education, upholding the professional image of nurses, participation in patient advocacy Patient advocacy refers to speaking on behalf of a patient in order to protect their rights and help them obtain needed information and services. The role of patient advocate is frequently assumed by nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers.  and establishing health care policy. The mission statement for NNA states, "The mission of the Nevada Nurses Association is to advocate for representing the collective voices of registered nurses." that means we represent you whether you are a member or not.

Your membership in special interest groups are vital to the community and offers diversity of interest that reflects our growing nursing population. We will be planning larger NNA meetings for the general memberships every 3 months so all members may participate.
