District nurses' section 'seizes the agenda'.Minister of Health Pete Hodgson Peter Colin Hodgson (1950 - ) is a New Zealand politician. He is a member of the Labour Party. Hodgson was born in Whangarei, and received a Bachelor's degree in veterinary science from Massey University. has stated his support for the national district nurses' section to develop a plan for district nursing services. The Minister said he had no plans to shift ownership to private providers but would not rule out the possibility this might happen in some cases. When the section met the Minister earlier this year, the Ministry of Hearth's chief nursing adviser, Mark Jones, had recommended the section develop a plan for district nursing services and offered to support the section in this work. The Minister described this as "seizing the agenda" and he said he supported the section leadership in this. |
