ROCK FERRY: A fashion show with glittering ball gowns and beautiful bridal wear is being held in support of Claire House.

The event on April 27 at Cammell Laird's sports and social club at St Peter's Road starts at 7.30pm and includes, a raffle, disco and auction.

 (English for Speakers of Other Languages) department at Wirral metropolitan college was recently awarded continued accreditation by the British Council The British Council is one of the United Kingdom's cultural relations organisations and which specialises in educational opportunities. It is a non-departmental public body and is registered as a charity in England.  following a re-inspection in December. The council is the government body for quality assurance for English courses throughout the UK. This is to ensure that fee paying students from abroad receive a high standard of teaching when they come to study English in Britain.

GREASBY: Greasby library poetry group is meeting again on Thursday, April 26.

Members will be discussing the poetry of Japan and their own poems on the theme of "pain".

All are welcome for poetry, information, chat and coffee.

The meeting starts at 6.30pm. For more information, call the library on 0151-677 5714.
