The Physician Recognition Committee was impressed with Dr. Jones' work with the Breathmobile(R) program, which brings free asthma treatment and medicine to disadvantaged children at over 120 schools. The award acknowledges the work of individual physicians or group physicians who strive to improve access in the healthcare delivery system in California. Dr. Jones is president of the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA AAFA Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America AAFA American Apparel & Footwear Association (Arlington, VA) AAFA American Association of Finance and Accounting AAFA Aplastic Anemia Foundation of America AAFA Army Aviation Flight Activity ), Southern California Chapter. The survey predicts whether a child or adult is likely to have active asthma, if the asthma is controlled or uncontrolled, and the current severity of asthma. Dr. Jones is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Keck School of Medicine of USC The Keck School of Medicine is the medical school at the University of Southern California. Founded in 1885 as the USC College of Medicine, it was closed in 1921 and reopened in 1928 as the USC School of Medicine. and the Chief of the Division of Allergy and Immunology.
