Display Technology Systems forms Strategic Relationship with Creekside Technologies.


ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 1996-- Display Technology Systems (DTS) announced today that it has formed a Strategic Relationship with Creekside Technologies of Plymouth, MN. "We have worked successfully with the people at Creekside in the past. They have the ability to implement specialized solutions for customers more rapidly than just about anyone else in the industry. At this stage in the industry, that is extremely important," said DTS General Manager Jim Tolan. DTS will work with Creekside to design and build electron guns A device that creates a fine beam of electrons that is focused on a phosphor screen in a CRT. specifically for cleaning FED flat panel displays.

Dr. Thomas Rusch, President and Founder of Creekside Technologies, praised the relationship: "We are very pleased to work with DTS. They provide us with a new market opportunity which draws upon our experience with surface chemical modification and electron beam technology. We are proud to contribute to the exciting, new FED display technology."

Display Technology Systems, http://www.distec.com, is a subsidiary of Saint Paul-based Chorus Corp. A privately held company, DTS specializes in the design, manufacture and marketing of ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) systems used in making field emitter device flat panel displays.

Creekside Technologies, is a privately owned corporation with offices in Plymouth, Minnesota supporting thin film and surface chemistry surface chemistry, study of chemical reactions in which the reactants are first adsorbed onto a surface medium (see adsorption) that then acts as a catalyst for the reaction; after the reaction the products are desorbed and the surface is left unchanged. Since the entire reaction takes place on the surface, the amount of surface area of catalyst per unit weight determines the effectiveness of the surface in the reaction. research groups world-wide with electron and ion beam instrumentation.
