Dispensing device for laundry care composition.

The Unilever Home & Personal Care USA division of Conopco, Inc., Greenwich, CT, has granted a patent for a non-intrusive device that automatically doses a composition into an automatic laundry washing machine. The device, which is located along the water supply, has a dosing container for the laundry care composition, a sensor for determining water flow and a processing unit programmed with a machine-generic algorithm that controls the flow of the composition and determines the cycle of various washing machines without the input of precise cycle design, and doses the correct products.
