The holidays have long been a time for decorating the showcase windows of New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 City's premier department store -- and this year, Macy's Herald Square Herald Square is formed by the intersection of Broadway, Sixth Avenue (officially named Avenue of the Americas) and 34th Street in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. On Nov. 16, Broadway's most famous shopping windows at Macy's Herald Square will feature scenes from Disney's "Once Upon a Christmas," in an animatronic window showcase that is sure to become a favorite destination of Manhattan's holiday shoppers.

Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto and Goofy will be on hand for the official dedication and unveiling of the windows at 4 p.m. at Macy's Herald Square on Thursday, Nov. 16. The ceremony is open to the public.

Containing more than 65 animatronic figures, the windows were specially crafted and designed by Disney artisans. The scenes were in production for more than a year, and in November, they were carefully packed and shipped from their Tampa, Fla., construction site to their new homes at Macy's Herald Square on Manhattan's famed 34th Street.

During the most wonderful time of year for Broadway's biggest retail names, shoppers and passers by will be delighted by the debut of these holiday window decorations in New York's most popular shopping district.
