Disney Grad Nite Parties to Feature Op/Fender Live Music Showcase; 'Op Emerging' Artists on Fender Records Debut at Disneyland Grad Nite.

ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 2004

Ocean Pacific Apparel Corp. (Op) and Fender Records have announced they will present "Op Emerging" album artists as headlining live entertainment during Disney Grad Nite Disney's Grad Nite (sometimes in early years termed "Grad-Nite") is an exclusive event hosted in April, May, or June for graduating high school senior classes who can gather for an exclusive, all-night party at Disneyland and, more recently, at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom,  celebrations. The groups will perform eight nights at Disneyland park Disneyland Park or Disneyland park may refer to:
  • The Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, USA
  • The Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort Paris in Marne-la-VallĂ©e, France
 for the private Disneyland Grad Nite parties this month and next in Anaheim, marking the first public showcase of the Op Emerging album.

The "Op Emerging" bands are scheduled to perform on the Tomorrowland Stage at 12:30 a.m., 1:30 a.m., 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on May 13, 20 and 27, and June 3, 9 and 10. Bands slated to appear are "Fielding" from Huntington Beach Huntington Beach, city (1990 pop. 181,519), Orange co., S Calif., on the Pacific coast, across from Santa Catalina Island, in an oil-producing area; inc. 1909. It manufactures aerospace vehicles, aircraft parts, optical instruments, and heat transfer equipment. , Calif.; San Diego-based Reeve Oliver; Florida's Zach Ziskin; and Anaheim natives, Toe Head Toe Head are an American "Rock/Alternative Pop" group consisting of Westoe (vocals/guitar), Shakey (lead guitar), Jr. Mint (bass) and Pat Pending (drums). The group, founded in November of 2000 in Orange County, California by Westoe, prides itself on its live shows. .

The soon-to-be-released "Op Emerging" album is a joint effort between Op and Fender Records, which together sought the most talented unsigned bands in the nation whose music exemplified the common California foundation and musical legacy of both Fender and Op.

More than 3,000 bands competed for a spot on the record. Fender and Op selected two-dozen finalists, and a panel that included champion surfers Sunny Garcia Sunny Garcia (b January 14, 1970) is a famous American surfer from Maile, Oahu. He was the 2000 world surfing champion and several computer games use his name.

Sunny discovered his talent for surfing at the young age of seven when his friends literally threw him into the
 and Robb Machado, members of Blink-182, and editors from music industry publications selected the winners. Also featured on the album are professional skateboarder-musician Mike Vallely and professional surfer-musician Donavon Frankenreiter. The CD is scheduled for release this summer, and will be available through participating Op, Fender and Rhino Records outlets.
