BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--April 8, 2002

Disney Channel's Original Movie franchise continues to make significant impact in the primetime and total day ratings -- the premiere of "Tru Confessions" (Friday, April 5, 8:00 p.m.) defeated all broadcast networks and cable competition in the targeted demographics -- Tweens 9-14 (4.4 national rating, 1.3 million), Kids 6-11 (4.2 national rating, 1.4 million) and Kids 6-14 (4.3 national rating, 1.9 million). Disney Channel's "Tru Confessions" (Friday at 8:00 p.m.) was the highest-rated basic cable telecast for the day in Tweens 9-14 (6.8 coverage rating, or 1.3 million), Kids 6-14 (6.9 coverage rating, 1.9 million), Kids 6-11 (7.3 coverage rating, or 1.4 million) and had the highest delivery for the day with persons 2+ (3.7 million).

In Households, "Tru Confessions" (Friday at 8:00 p.m.) delivered a 2.4 coverage rating (1.9 million homes), ranking as the #2 telecast for the day in Households, behind Lifetime's "Goodfellas" and tying with TNT's "Random Hearts Random Hearts is a 1984 novel by American author Warren Adler that was made into a 1999 American motion picture drama and romance.

The encore telecast of "Tru Confessions" (Friday at 9:35 p.m.) earned a 1.9 Household rating (1.5 million homes/2.3 million persons 2+), scoring its highest ratings with Kids 6-11 (4.3 rating), Tweens 9-14 (5.3 rating) and Kids 6-14 (4.7 rating), and placing #2 for the day with Teens 12-17 (3.7 rating).
