Kaye Malins of Marceline, Missouri Marceline is a city in Chariton and Linn County, Missouri. The population was 2,558 at the 2000 census. Marceline is best known for being the boyhood hometown of Walt Disney. . The dangling leaves clatter in the wind. stands beside a small spring where young Walt and his sister Ruth played as children. Disney spent hours in the tree's shade, looking into the high branches, sensing the animals, birds and bugs that inhabited the tall grass. He later called these adventures "belly botany botany, science devoted to the study of plants. Botany, microbiology, and zoology together compose the science of biology. Humanity's earliest concern with plants was with their practical uses, i.e., for fuel, clothing, shelter, and, particularly, food and drugs. " and drew from his childhood memories in his "Mickey Mouse Mickey Mouse Famous character of Walt Disney's animated cartoons. He was introduced in Steamboat Willie (1928), the first animated cartoon with sound. Mickey was created by Disney, who also provided his high-pitched voice, and was usually drawn by the studio's head animator, " and "Silly Symphony" cartoons. An official Disney logo depicts an image of young Walt holding Ruth's hand as they gaze at stars in the tree's limbs.
