DiscJockey.com Announces Additions to Executive Team; Changes Enable Founder Rich Chadwick to Pursue Innovative Technology.

SALEM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 2000

DiscJockey.com, Inc., a leading Internet entertainment site, today announced new executive appointments that will position the company for future growth and ensure the company's innovative technology leadership.

Gregory W. Hunt has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer. He brings to the company valuable experience in enterprise development, mergers and acquisitions and the formation of joint ventures and strategic alliances. Mr. Hunt has developed various sources of capital including debt, equity, and private placements, and has provided financial and strategic expertise to early stage and mid-market companies in the U.S. and abroad. At Global Medical Technologies, Mr. Hunt spearheaded a major strategic alliance funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and launched by the Gore-Chernomyrdin Defense Conversion Initiative. Prior to this, he was at Boots Pharmaceuticals and Unocal Chemicals in technical marketing and sales management roles. Mr. Hunt holds an MBA in International Business and Finance from the University of New Hampshire.

Patrick O'Brien has been named Chief Financial Officer. Mr. O'Brien has extensive experience in both start-up/entrepreneurial operations and mature corporate organizations. He has created financial and information systems, secured cash funding, and as key member of management team, launched ventures, among whose partners included RCA, General Instruments, Prudential Insurance and Columbia Pictures. As Vice President of Finance, Mr. O'Brien has been responsible for acquisition evaluations, management of international financial and treasury operations, and preparation of SEC reports at companies such as Point Source Technologies, and Oxford Energy and RCA Columbia Pictures International. He is accomplished at financial presentations and experienced with private and public equity issues and enterprise valuation. Mr. O'Brien holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Richard W. Chadwick, founder of DiscJockey.com, is now Executive Vice President of Research and Development. This new role will allow Mr. Chadwick to pursue the innovative technologies that have made the company a recognized leader in the Internet entertainment field. "DiscJockey.com is poised for growth. The appointment of Jeffrey Averick to the DiscJockey.com Board of Directors brings additional expertise to the firm. Mr. Averick is an experienced executive whose leadership resulted in exceptional revenue growth in several emerging market companies in the data quality field. He was most recently Vice President, Data Quality Products for Prism Solutions, Inc., which was acquired by Ardent Software, Inc., which was subsequently acquired by Informix. Mr. Averick was Owner, CEO and President of QDB Solutions, Inc., a startup software business he acquired in 1993 and then sold to Prism in 1997. Prior to acquiring QDB, Mr. Averick was a Vice President at BGS Systems, the industry leading supplier of capacity management tools for corporate data centers, subsequently acquired by BMC Software. Mr. Averick's early career was at the Center for Computational and Applied Dynamics at Boston University where he developed analytic software solutions for general problems in the field of aerodynamics.

John Martino, having achieved his goals of refocusing the company vision and building a strong executive management team, has resigned his position of Chief Executive Officer and has turned his duties over to the new team.
