Disaster Management Can Work If You Have an Expert by Your Side; PortBlue CEO Available to Address Automated Response Strategies.

WHO: Paul Dimitruk, CEO of PortBlue Corporation, based in Los
Angeles. Recently named to the Department of Homeland
Security's Private Sector Advisory Group, Dimitruk is a member
of the Advisory Committee of the Center for Strategic and
International Studies in Washington and has been a member of
the World Economic Forum and the Young Presidents
Organization. He holds a BA with High Honors from Denison
University, where he is a member of the Board of Trustees, and
a Juris Doctor degree from New York University. He is an
Associate Member of the Association of Former Intelligence
        Officers.

WHAT: Dimitruk is available to comment on how to improve disaster
readiness and management, sharing the lessons learned through
his company's PortBlue Hospital Incident Response System
(HIRS). HIRS is a comprehensive application for managing
incidents ranging from day-to-day patient surges to mass
casualty events. When deployed, HIRS is much like having a
disaster management expert at your side, when it is needed
most. The application is already under contract with Amerinet,
whose members include more than 1,850 hospitals and 19,600
non-acute care facilities and is beginning deployment in
        hospitals this fall.

"Sadly, events like Sept. 11 and Hurricane Katrina show
that we must do more to prepare for disasters," Dimitruk
said. "The JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations) requirements became much more
stringent after Sept. 11. I expect Hurricane Katrina will
result in even more stringent requirements, and rightly
so. When disaster does strike, state and local leaders
need expert advice and direction on the scene. Expert
systems like HIRS can provide that."

Expert systems like HIRS can be developed to assist in a
variety of situations such as evacuation planning, victim
assistance programs, security management and disaster
preparedness and more. PortBlue works with recognized experts
to effectively package the vast knowledge and advice of these
individuals and make is accessible to those who most need it.
